Alkaline Drinking Water for Proper Hydration

Water sustains all forms of life, including human life. Although water is all around us, it is one of the most mysterious substances on this planet. Scientists are still discovering amazing facts about water.

More than 70% of our body weight is water; that translates into about 10 gallons of water for a person of 120 lbs. It is very important to have a good understanding of water and to drink the right kind of water. Water is a strong solvent; therefore, it carries many invisible ingredients: minerals, oxygen, nutrients, waste products, pollutants, etc. Inside the human body, blood (90% of which is water) circulates throughout the body distributing nutrients and oxygen, and collecting wastes and carbon dioxides, delivering them to the disposal organs. If water was not a strong solvent, it could not perform these functions.

Since Alkaline water has more OH-s than H+s there are more oxygen atoms in it than in neutral water; that's why Alkaline Water is sometimes called rich water. In the same manner, acid water is oxygen deficient water.

It is this abundant amount of hydroxyl ions that neutralizes acid hydrogen ions in our body to reduce the accumulated acid wastes, thus reversing the aging process.

Ionization simply means to gain or loose an electron. Water that has been ionized becomes either Alkaline or Acidic, meaning that the pH has been adjusted up or down. Alkaline water is full of Hydroxyl Ions. Acidic water is full of Hydrogen Ions. This is water that we apply only to the outside of our body. It is also great for plant growth.

Our blood system is constantly functioning to keep itself within the narrow range of 7.3 to 7.45-pH range. This process is also known as homeostasis.

Why does human body become acidic?

All foods create waste products within our cell tissues after metabolizing. Our life styles often do not allow our body to dispose of these waste products completely. The accumulation of these waste products is an important element in contributing to the aging process along with other conditions.
